PSHE aims to equip pupils with the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to make well-informed decisions in order to lead happy, healthy lives, both now and in the future.
Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education is taught via dedicated PSHE lessons across all year groups at SPJ. PSHE education aims to foster critical engagement with the world inviting boys to explore a wide range of relevant themes including mental health and wellbeing, healthy relationships and economic education. PSHE lessons provide a safe space for boys to discuss topics that matter to them in an age-appropriate way. Boys are encouraged to ask questions and are given the opportunity to hear from a diverse range of perspectives. We work closely with SPS colleagues and regularly host pupils from the Lower Eighth Form who deliver lessons to our oldest pupils.

Clubs and Enrichment
SPJ is proud to offer a vast and varied extracurricular provision. As such, there are a wide range of clubs and enrichment opportunities that link to PSHE, including:
Business Club 鈥� open to Upper Second to Upper Third pupils, providing opportunities to engage with entrepreneurial projects.
Diversity Club 鈥� open to all pupils and provides a space to celebrate one鈥檚 own culture and explore that of others鈥� in the school community and beyond.
First Aid Club 鈥� open to all pupils and hosted by one of our school nurses where pupils learn life-saving skills.
FiSH Club 鈥� weekly volunteering opportunity for Upper Second to Upper Third pupils, involving playing games and chatting with elderly residents in the local community.
School Council 鈥� every class votes for a class representative at the start of the Autumn Term.
