Congratulations to Anango Prabhat and Adavya Goyal (Sixth Form) for being awarded joint first place in the senior competition of the 2024 Oxford University Computing Challenge (OUCC) on 28 June, and for representing the UK in the Western-European Olympiad in Informatics (WEOI) from 29 to 30 June, where Anango won gold and Adavya won silver.

The Oxford University Computing Challenge (OUCC) is an invitation-only event designed for students who have achieved a top 10% score in the UK Bebras Challenge. Many congratulations to Anango Prabhat (Sixth Form) and Adavya Goyal (Sixth Form) who were awarded joint first place in the senior competition.

Western-European Olympiad in Informatics, 29 to 30 June 2024

Adavya and Anango represented the UK in the team competition over the weekend. WEOI is an international Subcontinental Informatics Olympiad for K-12 students. Its goal is to add additional educational value in algorithms and programming to Western European students. Participants are selected by the country’s national Olympiad and each contestant represents their country individually, with ten countries competing. Anango was awarded gold and teammate Adavya took a silver – final placings of the teams not yet announced.
